On the afternoon of June 16, the ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (hereinafter referred to as "ZGCTA") held an online exchange meeting with the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Saint Petersburg Campus (hereinafter referred to as "HSE Saint Petersburg Campus"). The meeting was presided over by Li Junkai, Secretary-General of ZGCTA and Director of the Center for International and Regional Cooperation at the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology.
At the meeting, Prof. Marina Mateskaya from the School of Economics and Management and Prof. Natalia Pyatkina, Director of the Center for International Cooperation at HSE Saint Petersburg Campus, shared insights on the campus's disciplinary layout, research platform construction, industry-university-research cooperation models and international exchange practices. The Russian side stated that ZGCTA's capabilities in integrating global intellectual resources, operating high-level international forums and matching industrial needs complement the research strengths of Russian universities well. They expressed a willingness to establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with ZGCTA, deepen exchanges and collaboration in multiple fields, and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
Li Junkai introduced ZGCTA's establishment background, development positioning, brand activities and research achievements. She noted that HSE Saint Petersburg Campus has profound accumulations in innovation management, digital economy, and in-depth industry-university-research integration, which is highly aligned with ZGCTA's development direction of promoting multilateral scientific and technological cooperation and international intellectual collaboration. The two sides can focus on five key cooperation areas in the future: joint academic research, think tank advisory cooperation, co-construction of shared think tank platforms, collaborative international event organization, and personnel exchanges and joint project applications.
Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the advantages of China-Russia scientific and technological innovation resources and the development needs of international cooperation, further enhancing mutual trust and understanding and reaching consensus on pragmatic cooperation. This laid a solid foundation for the subsequent signing of a strategic cooperation memorandum and carrying out multi-dimensional and in-depth scientific and technological innovation collaboration.
